23rd day in America 3/4

We had our class in the morning, and after that, I had a site visit. This is the short program of agriculture. I am interested in nutrition, so I choose this one.
A women explained their study with slow English. So I could understand this talking.

After site visit, we played Ultimate with my friends. I did not know the rule of this, but I could enjoy☺

And after that! I ate pizza with Ashly, one of my JASS's friends. I am so happy I could make friend in America! Ashly can speak Japanese well because of her parents. We promised to be good friend. The pizza was so big, I took out and ate next day's lunch.

22nd day in America 3/3

Today was National Pancake Day!!! So ihop, the pancake shop give us pancake free. I like pancake, so I went to there with some friends. It tasted so so ☺

21st day in America 3/2

Today was site visit day. We went to IBM company. This company is one of the most famous computer company. My father was one of members of this company in Japan. I was looking forward that I can look around this company, but that was only my imagination. We heard researcher's talking. Only that... And what is worse, these talking was so difficult for me. Their research is based on using computer, but I couldn't understand. 

After talking, we took pictures in front of company. And for lunch, I ate IBM burger, this was delicious, but too big. 

20th day in America 3/1 LA!

Final day in LA,,,

I went to Santa Barbara. There were so beautiful ocean, and interesting markets. I ate delicious ice cream, and bought so cute souvenir. I was happy☺
After that, we went to the other town to eat lunch, but I and Rina were not hungry, so we walked around the town, There were beautiful church, and good coffee house. We drunk coffee, and walked. I could spend good time.

After this trip, I back to Davis around 9:30. This trip was so interesting one. I love this☺
If I have a chance to go LA again, I want to go more slowly.

19th day in America 2/28 LA!

2nd day of my LA trip! I went to Disney land California adventure. That was so fun!!! Tokyo Disney Land in Japan is too crowded every time, but California adventure was not crowded. This is because, I could ride on a lot of attractions. I couldn't ride on roller coaster,　my friends say 'You should ride everything! Because this is LA Disney, you can't come again!' So I rode roller coaster and tower of terror. I can't say how enjoy this experiment with words, so please look my pictures in facebook.  

18th day in America 2/27 LA!

 Hello, I was so busy, so I couldn't write my diary. I want to write about my LA trip. I did't have any plan last weekends, but Shiori invited to this trip. I decided to join this trip, because of I think that I won't visit LA when I missed this opportunity.
 It took 9 hours to go LA by bus. This is so long trip for me, but I slept and talked with my friends, I felt fast to past the time.

1st day, we went to Hollywood. There were a lot of footprint and signature of famous actors. I took picture with Johnny Depp! And there was doll of Marilyn Monroe, that was so beautiful and cute. Guide said, 'There is so interesting candy shop'. I didn't know where is that shop, but I enter one shop, I thought 'This is that shop!!!', because there ware interesting dolls and candies. For example, 'KINTARO AME' two men made that, and I could try one. It's too sour for me.

11th and 12th in America 2/21~22

Hello, I couldn't write diary because I was so busy. I will write about short trip to San Francisco from 2/21 to 22.
 2/21
   We met in front of Cowell Building at 7:15 am. I went to Davis station to ride on train. We spend about 3 hours in train, and arrived about 11:30!! In that train, someone were doing meeting about this trip 'Where we want to go?' 'What we want to do?', or 'How to look around San Francisco?'. Every one looked forward to arriving San Francisco.
  After arrived Powell station, we went to our hotel to put our backpack. Hotel name is 'Hotel Metropolis'. That was good. We separate to 6 groups, and went to sightseeing. My group member was J, Kotapon, Kody, Yuta, Yurin. We went to science academy. That was so  cool. That academy is looks like museum. There were planetarium, and aquarium. All of this exhibitions were interesting for me. I bought candy at that shop. That was so cute, but too sweet for me.
  We back to hotel until 7pm, because the place was so dangerous. I bought some snacks, and juice to our night. At that night, there were so many things, but I can't write down here lol.

2/22

  Second, and last day in San Francisco. We went to　Fisherman's Wharf.　At the Fisherman's Wharf, cram chauder is famous. I want to eat that, so we bought three types of clam chawder. We ride on a red ship, and this ship went to see the golden gate bridge and alcatraz island. After that, we went to Ghiradelli chocolate factory we ate delicious ice cream and I bought a lot of chocolates. This is souvenir to my Japanese friends.  

9th day in America 2/19

Hi, good morning.

These pictures are a note of 1st class and 2nd class. We don't have any homework today, so I had so many free time. We took class till 12:30, after that, we had a special lecture.

8th day in America 2/18

I woke up at 6:30. Good morning.
Second day's class was interesting for me. Hot topic class was about Computer, my major is computer science, so I was interested in this class. I want to speak in English more, so I speak a lot to my friends in class.
1st class
  About Hot Topic 'TEDx'

We told about Computer. What is PIXEL? What is 3D? What is virtual reality? What is Boundary? We were thinking about them with our partner with using dictionary.

2nd class
  About pronunciation.
I leaned about this when I was 1st grade in junior high school, so I thought it's easy for me, but it is too difficult....
 English has two type, vowel and consonant. The most difficult is about syllables. This is like rhythm.
For example, about the word, 'Kaoruko'. This is my name.
You can read Ka O Ru Ko in Japanese. However, foreigner read this Kao Ru Ko. There are only 3 syllables. There are 4 vowel, but there are 3 syllables. This is difficult point of English. I was so tired of this class...

3rd class
  About Intercultural Research Project
We have to do presentation of my topic. My topic is 'Health'. I will interview to some students of UCD, and Rits to compare UCD students and Rits students in the side of 'Health'.
We will make poster and presentation about our topic. I am looking forward doing presentation...

After class
 We played soccer with some students from the other university. I could play soccer well. And after that, I went to tennis coat with 4 my friends. I am a beginner of tennis, but everyone were kind, so I could play.

I was so tired because of the class, and sports. I can sleep well :)

7th day in America 2/17

The class started!!! My class start at 9:30 every day. This is lucky, because other class start at 8:30.  We introduced ourselves to know each other, few students I didn't know, but I could know about them. Class was easy to understand, because we only introducing and chatting. I am looking forward to be difficult for me. :b

After our class, I ate lunch at the grass field in front of Memorial Union with Mizuki. There were sooooo many free time for


us, so we went to down town.
I ate frozen Yogurt. SO NICE!!!! I must go there again...
Today's dinner was tacos. We took materials self. Tacos was hard type. I thought that there are only soft tacos, so I was surprised there are hard type tacos.

My mother in Japan said "I want to see your host mother and father!", so I took pictures with them. They are so kind of me. I am spending happy time. Dinner is nice, I am free from time, and what is better, my house is close to school!!!! I have to spend an hour in train in Japan, but I can go to school by bicycle for only 20 minuets in America. Its good for me, I want to stay near my university... forever...
Tomorrow, I will play soccer at grass field. I think it must be fun!!!

6th Day in America 2/16

Today was 'President day', so we went to go vacaville premium outlet to buy clothes. At first, we thought that we will go to there by bus, but there were no bus for vacaville. One of my members, Hiroki called his host father, and he came to Davis to pick us. He was so kind of us. We arrived at 12 o'clock. Because of Rina's new host family, we had to back to UCD before 6. There were only 5 hours for us. We ate tacos for lunch and we went to shopping! I bought a lot of clothes, and I spend much money for them. We could enjoy my shopping time. Thank you for picking me up, Hiroki's father.

 

Because of President day, there were a lot of green cupcakes.

5th day in America 2/15

Today is Mizuki's birthday!!!
Happy Birthday, Mizuki♡

Then today, we went to amusement park, Six Flags. Before going to there, we had any troubles, but we could go there safety.
By the way, Six Flags have a lot of roller coaster. I don't like ride on like them, but I went to roller coaster made by wood, I thought I may die lol.

This members are 'BIBIRI members'. I only ride on one, but I could enjoy fully. What is better, I could buy a sweater. american Small size is too large for me, but I like this :)

4th day in America 2/14

Happy Valentine's day!
I went to Save Mart, a glossary shop, there were so many Valentine's cakes. Second photo looked like hamburger so much. Adding to this, there were many roses to present for woman, so cool, I thought. In the same shop, we bought so many food to 'Get-to-Know Party'. Many people helped me to carry things, thank you.

After we carry things, I went to Starbucks coffee to eat lunch. These were so delicious, but so expensive for me...

We started preparing for party 1 o'clock and starting time was 2 o'clock. There were three purposes for this party. 1st is, to get to know with each other, 2nd is, to give a chance to speak in English for this members. The 3rd is to let our host family to know Japanese culture. To achieve these purposes, we held this party. Members took communication to talk with their host, and host families looked enjoy this party. I was main host of this party, and I was sooooo tired, but this party was sooooo exciting for me. 

I know today is 2/15. I am so sorry for my late uploading. Next paper is about Six Flags. Please read that too. Thank you for coming and reading.
